This is the normal view, it is a sign of a possible transfer. It is not printed. And to prevent it from being displayed, disable the display of non-printable characters.

And what prevents you from selecting this symbol (if it is still displayed), copying it and using Ctrl+V to insert it in the replacement dialog? The input field “Replace with:” is left empty. Do “Replace everything”.
